Today, Children are exposed to TV and print media, which promote instant gratification desires, low frustration tolerance and false ideals. They glorify violence and sex in no mean proportions. They are easily taken to fast food culture and sedentary life style. Added to this, substance abuses such as smoking & alcohol consumption are widespread. These affect their physical and mental health.

Life skills are ‘living skills’ or abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with demands and challenges of every day life (WHO, 1997) 

In particular, life skills are a group of cognitive, personal and interpersonal abilities that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathise with others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Training Delivery options

Life skills can be provided ideally through monthly workshops on weekends. This would help the developing individual skill over a day, and allow the learners to construct their own meaningful mental associations to the learning experience.
The Life skills can also be provided on daily basis. These classes can be held in the morning hours before the regular school. Both the delivery options can be customized to institutional requirements.
